Bring your side by side and ride the Hook and Ladder ATV Trails. There a many trail options within this trail system. Take your time and explore them all. Its a great place to spend some time in the serene desert.
Directions: This trail system is located on Hwy 191 approximately 29 miles south of Moab, or 25 miles north of Monticello, make the turn to the east onto Steens Road and continue 1.3 miles to the trailhead.
There are around 40 miles of designated trails. You can spend a couple hours or all day riding. If you do some research, there are some great places to stop and hike along the way. There is generally wildlife in the area. If you take trail 15 you'll arrive at an overlook where you can see Wilson Arch and Looking Glass Rock. Check out trail 11 for the Four Fins Over look. Make sure to check out the trail and the junction of trail 3 and 1 and climb the ladder to Indian Bathtub. Overall, there are great views in all directions. It's a great place to spend an afternoon. Make sure to bring enough water and you may want to bring a picnic along.
