Mesa Arch is a famous structure in the Island in the Sky District of
Canyonlands National Park. Impressive photos show rugged
canyon country in the distance framed by a close-up view of the
photogenic arch. Some of the best photos are taken at sunrise.
Trailhead
The trailhead is at a wide parking area located along Grand View Point Road. The short trail is well
marked and easy to follow. It takes you to the edge of the plateau, where you have an expansive view of
the countryside.
Mesa Arch
The arch is located right on the rim of the plateau. After taking in the view, and taking photos, continue the
easy loop trail to return to your car, or backtrack and return the way you came in.
