Directions: Take Scenic Byway 128 down the Colorado River for about 16 miles to the Castle Valley confluence. Turn right and continue on toward Gateway, passing through Castle Valley (past the Loop Road turn-off). Continue 2 miles to a Y, then turn right toward Gateway for 2.5 miles to a fork with signage saying Don's Lake is 12 miles ahead. Turn right and continue for 12 miles, then turn left into Don's Lake (immediately past the vault toilet).
There are no amenities, although there are various camping places for RV and tent camping along the road between Hidden and Don's lakes.
