Ride through the La Sal Mountains, an old volcanic remnant that rises high above the red rock desert below. Our basic route begins at 8,000 feet in mild temps and gradually climbs to a high prominence with unexpected vistas of hundreds of miles, including Canyonlands and Arches National Parks.
They can create a personalized trail ride experience for you based off your skill and comfort level. This experience can range from teaching the fundamentals of horse care and ground work to advanced cross-county and mountain terrain riding.
Small groups are their speciality, which they believe creates a more personalized service to their visitors. Special arrangements can also be made to accommodate larger groups or different locations. Please do not hesitate to contact them.
At Rock n Ridge, they use Tennessee Walkers who have been hand picked and trained for mountain conditions . This breed of horse is noted for their friendliness, willingness, and, of course, their ability to travel smoothly. For large parties, themed tours, and special events, we also have access to a number of additional excellent horse and special wranglers.
