Directions: Take Scenic Byway 128 down the Colorado River for about 16 miles to the Castle Valley confluence. Turn right and continue on toward Gateway, passing through Castle Valley (past the Loop Road turn-off). Continue 2 miles to a Y, then turn right toward Gateway for 2.5 miles to a fork with signage saying Don's Lake is 12 miles ahead. Turn right and go roughly 14 miles on this road before turning right into the dirt road next to the vault toilet.
While there are no facilities such as picnic tables or barbecues, there are several spots suitable for RV and tent camping.
